Breeding in Minecraft has always been very basic if you really think about it. You just put two animals together, and their offspring will looks almost exactly like them, only smaller. Once their offspring grows to its adult stage, it’s impossible to tell the difference between them anymore. On top of that, genes are never taken into consideration. In a sense, breeding in Minecraft is very dumbed down.
Luckily, there’s a mod to fix this, and it’s called the Better Breeding Mod! The Better Breeding Mod is a mod that adds several new breeding mechanics into the game. For one, this mod makes it so the breedable mobs now have several different colors, as opposed to just having one before. This makes it so you can cross-breed between different colors, meaning that the baby’s color could either be one or the other color. This ultimately makes breeding more interesting, as opposed to just being something you have to do.
This mod doesn’t have much of a use survival-wise, but it’s a nice aesthetic mod. I mean, I don’t know about you, but I get kind of tired looking at white chickens all day long. It gets repetitive after a while. Thanks to this mod, I can now enjoy looking at brown and grey chickens as well, overall, increasing the aesthetics and the ambiance of the game.
All in all, this mod is pretty nice, and is recommended for anyone who would like to make breeding in Minecraft slightly more interesting, while at the same, time increase the game’s appeal in a slightly subtle way.
