Display Case Mod

Description

Display Case Mod – Ever wanted to make a museum in Minecraft? Well now you can, thanks to this mod!

The display case mod is a mod for Minecraft that allows you to show off any item of your choosing. All you have to do is place the case down, right-click it, and then place any item you want inside. The item will the appear in the middle of the glass, as if it was an artifact in the museum. Currently, you can make the cases out of gold, diamond, wood, iron, and stone. Here’s the crafting recipe for you guys who like to craft stuff legitimately:

As you can see, they’re not very expensive or too resource intensive to craft! To make the diamond, wood, iron, and stone versions, just replace the gold ingot with the respective item (if you were to make a diamond display case, replace the gold ingot with diamond, etc.) Anyways, this mod is more or less a decorative mod rather than a survival-type mod, but you can always make an “in case of fire, break glass” type of thing and put a bucket inside of it, but you could also to the same by just putting a bucket inside of a chest. Hence, it’s more of a decorative mod than a survival mod. Oh and please note, that if you are going to do that, I would recommend to just simply right click the glass, and not break it! Now for some screenshots.

Hello there Everybody! I am Joseph, or BlueOrchard, the owner of Minecraft Modding. I mainly direct the Minecraft Mods and Minecraft Maps sections, but I occasionally do server reviews too.

  • I installed this and now my game crashes when I try to open a chest.

    • Hmm… Try “Force Updating” Minecraft and reinstalling the mod. If that doesn’t work, try installing Modloader too.

This rv.class is empty but what ever it cancels out then just works, my minecraft is getting much higher FPS, and more impotently it is running very smooth with no lags.
Also i have not seen any side effects so far

    Additional info:
    Using this in Minecraft 1.1

    • Thanks for reporting this! I will be sure to update the post!

    doesnt change anything :

    • You will only notice a performance improvement if you get a lag spike. If you aren’t getting lag spikes, then this mod isn’t really beneficial at all.
