Old Books Mod

Description

Old Books Mod – Change the way you craft book to the way you crafted them before the adventure update!

Minecrafts new crafting recipe for books calls for leather on top of three pieces of paper. This means that you will have to have a herd of cows in order to even be able to create one bookcase, which is incredibly inconvenient in my opinion. If you ask me, getting a reasonable amount of sugar cane to create paper was already enough work, and now that it calls for leather, it will take forever to make bookshelves.

Thats why the Old Books Mod came to be. The old books mod is a mod that makes it so the crafting recipe for books doesnt require leather any more, similar to how it was before 1.0.0, or before the official Minecraft launch. This means that all you have to do is create a sugar cane farm, which is easy enough.

The main reason to get this mod would be because of the fact that animals have become extremely rare, and finding cows is incredibly hard. You will need at least two in order to be able to create a farm, and finding one is already hard enough. Dont get me started on the fact that you will have to lure the cows back to your home, because 9 times out of 10, that cow is nowhere near your house. In addition to that, cows arent exactly the most useful animals in the game. Sure, it provides some temporary armor for the beginning game, and some meat, but once you acquire a farm, and get your hands on some iron, cows dont really have a use anymore, other than providing a nuisance when it comes to creating books.

All in all, this mod is a great mod, and is recommended for you if you are the kind of person that thought that the leather needed to create the books were tedious and unneeded.
