The Sonic Ether’s Unbelievable Shaders Mod (SEUS for short) is a mod for Minecraft that allows Minecraft to take advantage of a more robust and powerful shader system. This gives the impression that Minecraft can also have the quality of a triple-A title such as the Battlefield series.
While that’s all this mod has to offer, that alone is nothing to scoff at. Minecraft alone is a very interesting game and is also very fun, but the issue with it is mainly the visual aspect of the game. Granted, that’s most likely what Mojang was going for, but this doesn’t mean that a blocky game with minimalistic graphics is everyone’s cup of tea.
Thanks to the SEUS mod, this is no longer the case and the user is now free to modify even the shaders of Minecraft so that the shaders of Minecraft reflect the quality of the game. Couple this mod with a very high-resolution resource pack and Minecraft can essentially rival that of games released in 2016 in terms of graphics.
In conclusion, the SEUS mod is an excellent mod that deserves the acclaim it gets. It’s one of the very few mods that are absolutely outstanding and mind-blowing in terms of quality. Just keep in mind that you will need Optifine and a very powerful computer to run this (I’d recommend at least a GTX 660 or an r9 280).
