Minecraft’s glass has always been a bit, well, bland, and sort of annoying. The reason that the glass is annoying is because of the fact that it’s hard to look out of them. There’s a streak of white lines in them, which are only there just to show you that it’s glass. Meanwhile, if you look at glass in real life, you will notice that the glass does not have streaks like that unless it’s damaged. Glass in real life usually has a border though, just so you know that there’s glass there. If only Minecraft had the same.
Luckily, there’s a texture pack that fixes this, and that texture pack is Torhans Clear Glass Default Texture Pack. Torhans Clear Glass Default Texture Pack is a texture pack meant for people that are bothered by the default glass’ texture in the game, but at the same time, would like to keep the default textures. I for one, really like the idea of this texture pack.
The idea of this texture pack is to maintain the stock look, but at the same time, replace the glass so that it’s more functional as well. In my opinion, it does this quite well. Even though the glass is clear now, it somewhat fits in the game pretty well. More texture packs should strive to do this. All in all though, this texture pack is decent for what it does. It’s not a full blown texture pack like most, but it does its job quite well if I do say so myself.
Now for some screenshots of the texture pack.
